Welcome Grace!

-Written in the point of View of Grace-

I pushed my haul of boxes to the house I was supposed to live in.

image

Finally I got to the door. I hope they like me, I thought.

image

On the door there was a note that read, Come in! -The Brooks.

image

I started walking in…

image

“Surprise!” yelled the family. “Bonjour, Welcome!” they all greeted.

image

“Bonjour. Merci.” I said in a crisp, French accent. I know very little English, so it was quite hard for me.

image

“Would you like a pastry?” a girl asked. “Oh, and I am Saige.” I only understood the last part.image

I saw the table of treats, so I guessed she was offering me one.

image

I grabbed a macaroon.

image

“I love your bracelet.” a girl complimented me. “Merci.” I said.

image

 I looked at my bracelet.

image

I munched on a tasty macaroon. Everyone introduced themselves.

image

“Would you like to open gifts?” asked Cecile.

image

“Sure.” I said.

image

I sat down and started with a mint box.

image

Inside was a pink purse.

image

It was full of duck tape. “Merci!” I said.

image

Next was a bag.

image

I pulled out a pretty looking backpack.

image

Inside it was stuffed with supplies.

image

I also got a tape measure.

image

Lastly there was a pair of pretty earrings. “Merci! I love them!”

image

I then stood up with everything, waiting for someone to show me my room.

image

Julie read my mind, because just then she jumped up and said, “I will show you your room.” “Wait.” I said. “My boxes are outside.” I explained. “Already covered.” said Julie.

image

We walked upstairs to a beautiful Paris decorated room. “Merci!” I said, it is wonderful!

image

“Saige!” she called. Saige came running up. “She is your roommate.” explained Julie. “I will let you settle in and have some bonding time with Saige.” said Julie.

image

Saige smiled at me and started painting.

image

I looked at the pile. This will take a while… I thought.

image

I took a look at my armoire.

image

I worked more-

image

-and more. Finally I finished folding my clothes. I then put them all away in my armoire.

image

Finally, I was done. I had my side of the room clean. I got in bed for a long rest.

I got Grace!!!!!!

Did you like it? I had a awesome birthday! Thanks everyone!
